TLP, the Tournament of Legendary Pickleball, was founded as a community-first organization in Hong Kong, where it built the city's first generation of competitive players and grassroots clinics.
In 2025, TLP joined LIT Sports Global, the sports arm of TGG Holdings. The merger pairs TLP's heritage with LIT's investment, production, and athlete-management capabilities, anchoring an Asia-focused pickleball platform that bridges Hong Kong, the Greater Bay Area, and global tour-level play.
Today, LIT TLP operates as a professional roster, a tournament series, and a foundation. One sport. Three engines. The same conviction: pickleball is a serious investment category and a serious community sport.
What carries over
TLP arrived at the 2025 merger with something capital alone cannot buy: a community of players who were already serious. Mr. Chan Man-chun built that community from scratch, running clinics, seeding tournaments, and creating the pipeline that produced Hong Kong's first generation of internationally competitive pickleball athletes.
The tournament culture TLP established gave the club an institutional advantage. Knowing how to run an event that players return to, that sponsors want to be part of, and that media can produce, is hard-won knowledge. LIT TLP carries that knowledge forward intact.
What LIT brings
LIT Sports Global, as the sports arm of TGG Holdings, brought structured investment and professional athlete-management infrastructure to the partnership. The result is a club that can sign athletes on long-horizon contracts, produce broadcast-ready tournaments, and operate commercial relationships at scale.
The LIT era also means a genuine Greater Bay Area footprint. With OVO Arena Zhongshan as a venue partner, ViuTV as a broadcast partner, and the WPC as a tour partner, LIT TLP can now field athletes and run events across the full HK, GBA, and Mainland circuit that TLP alone could not reach.
The mandate
LIT TLP exists to prove a thesis: that a sport can be both a serious investment category and a serious community sport at the same time. The professional roster, the premium tournament series, and the Picklemind foundation are not three separate agendas. They are one platform, built from Hong Kong outward.
Three Engines
A professional roster competing across the WPC, the LIT TLP × LUZZ Championship, and the PPA Tour. Long-horizon athlete development, not one-off appearances.
Premium events built for broadcast, sponsorship, and travel demand. The LIT TLP × LUZZ Championship anchors the emerging Greater Bay Area circuit.
Through Picklemind, LIT TLP donates equipment and deploys specialist coaches into Hong Kong schools, building the next generation from the playground up.
Leadership
The people carrying TLP's heritage forward and shaping its next chapter.
How we lead
LIT TLP is founder-led and ambassador-supported. Mr. Chan Man-chun's grassroots conviction sets the cultural standard; the directors and ambassadors extend that standard into commercial, broadcast, and community channels across Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.
Founded TLP and championed pickleball's grassroots growth in Hong Kong, building the talent pipeline and tournament culture that the modern club inherits.
A founding director of the club, anchoring the bridge between TLP's heritage and the LIT Sports Global era.
A long-standing supporter of TLP whose presence has helped grow the club's cultural reach in Hong Kong.
A familiar face in Hong Kong sport and entertainment, lending visibility and energy to TLP's flagship moments.
An ambassador who has helped TLP connect with broader audiences across Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.
Built with TGG Group
LIT TLP is backed by TGG Holdings, a single-family office whose sports arm, LIT Sports Global, provides the investment thesis, production infrastructure, and global network that underpin the club's ambitions. The partnership is long-term by design: TGG Holdings does not enter sports verticals for short cycles. Learn more at lit-sports-global.com ↗.
Athletes
Long-term partnerships in performance, commercial growth, and cultural reach.
Roster philosophy
LIT TLP does not run one-off sponsorships. Every athlete on the roster is a long-horizon investment: competitive results, cultural reach, and commercial growth developed over seasons, not campaigns.
PPA Trailblazer · Hong Kong
Hong Kong's first signed PPA Trailblazer. A rising figure in Asian pickleball who pairs disciplined tournament play with growing crossover appeal across lifestyle and culture.
Two-time WPC Champion · Hong Kong
Back-to-back World Pickleball Championship Hong Kong men's doubles champion. Ryan anchors the LIT TLP roster with elite-level decision-making and a game built for centre-court pressure.
Pathways we back
The Professional Pickleball Association's pathway program for emerging players. Nikita Tang is Hong Kong's first signed PPA Trailblazer, opening a route from Asian grassroots play to international tour competition.
The World Pickleball Championship Hong Kong is the home tournament for the LIT TLP roster. With 900+ players and 70M+ media reach via ViuTV, it is the highest-profile stage available in the region.
OVO Arena Zhongshan anchors the Greater Bay Area competition base for the club. The LIT TLP x LUZZ Championship at the venue has set a benchmark for hospitality-grade tournament production in the region.
What we look for
A LIT TLP athlete is first defined by competitive results. The club backs players who win, who contend at the top of regional and international fields, and who demonstrate the game sense to do so consistently over time. Nikita Tang and Ryan Lam both meet that standard with back-to-back and gold-medal records.
Beyond the court, LIT TLP looks for athletes who connect with audiences beyond the sport. Cultural reach, community presence, and the willingness to represent a club that also runs schools programs and foundation work are part of the criteria. The roster is intentionally small because the investment per athlete is high.
Tournaments
A growing calendar across Hong Kong, the Greater Bay Area, and the wider Mainland circuit.
The calendar shape
Three distinct competition formats define the LIT TLP calendar: a co-produced GBA series at a hospitality-grade venue, a tour partnership at Hong Kong's flagship pickleball event, and a regional Mainland showcase that deepens the club's competitive bench.
Live · Greater Bay Series
A joint tournament at OVO Arena, Zhongshan. Part of a wider series building the Greater Bay Area pickleball circuit.
Tour Partner · WPC
LIT TLP's roster competes and represents at the city's flagship pickleball tournament, with ViuTV media production extending the reach beyond the venue.
Regional Showcase
LIT TLP athletes feature regularly on the regional Mainland circuit, deepening the club's bench and broadening its commercial footprint.
Production-ready
LIT TLP's tournament events are designed for commercial deployment, not just competitive use. ViuTV, Hong Kong's leading free-to-air broadcaster, has extended the reach of the WPC HK to 70M+ viewers, turning the tournament floor into a media property with genuine scale.
OVO Arena Zhongshan brings hospitality-grade venue infrastructure to the Greater Bay circuit. The LIT TLP x LUZZ Championship at OVO Arena established a new benchmark for production quality in the region: 400+ players, 600 matches, and HK$100K in prizes, all under a purpose-built broadcast setup.
Built for the region
The LIT TLP tournament calendar is structured as a circuit, not a series of isolated events. The WPC HK anchors the Hong Kong leg; the LIT TLP x LUZZ Championship at OVO Arena Zhongshan anchors the GBA leg; and the China Pickleball Championship provides Mainland exposure. Together they form a connected arc through which athletes, sponsors, and audiences can follow the club across the full regional footprint.
Community · Picklemind
The long, patient work behind the medals.
In Schools
Through Picklemind, LIT TLP brings pickleball into local schools across Hong Kong. We donate professional-grade nets, paddles, and balls, and deploy specialist coaches for on-site training.
Children learn the fundamentals, the rules, and the joy of play in a fun, inclusive environment that builds physical fitness, coordination, and social skills. It is the long, patient work behind the medals.
What we donate
Who delivers it
Equipment alone does not build a sport. Picklemind deploys specialist coaches directly on-site at each participating school. Coaches run structured sessions, introduce rules and gameplay, and give children a real experience of the sport, not just access to equipment.
What children learn
Football clinics at King's Park
The community-sport mission of LIT Sports Global extends beyond pickleball. Football clinics also run at King's Park, Hong Kong, connecting the same grassroots-development philosophy to a second code and a broader youth audience.
